Weaverbird - Topological Mesh Tools

Weaverbird is a topological modeler with subdivision and Coway transformation operators, readily usable by designers.Weaverbird is the first released addon for Grasshopper but this group is new, so please join it to participate in discussions, ask questions and contact the crew! The most updated version of Weaverbird is 0.7.50. This is a beta version that works with the Grasshopper 0.9 strain. The first release-grade version…See More

"I agree, a responsive path mapper would be fantastic. It does look like the 0.9* update reduces the extra branches so less need to be simplifying structures down. I try to use the replace branches wherever possible...here are three common examples…"

"update...the assembly wasn't loading because I forgot to go back and unblocked the file after replacing it with the new version. So my issue is still that the assembly can't find the panelingtoolsdotnet.dll file.  That file is…"

Problem with transformation combination component with 0 degree rotations

I have found a problem when combining transformations and I way wondering if anyone has seen this or has any suggestions. I am unfolding lots of different folded parts.  I am triangulating the parts and extracting a list of rotational tranformations for each triangular face.  The lists are then combined and each face and the entire part unfolds flat. I have found though, when the parts are orthagonal and the rotational tranformations are 0 degrees (two adjacent faces that are already coplanar)…See More

"Hi Walter,   yeah it's a bug. I fixed it already. You'll have to flip your inputs again when the next release goes out.   -- David Rutten david@mcneel.com Poprad, Slovakia"

compound transform input order is reversed?

Has anyone been using the compound transform component?  I  have found that when I combine two transformations with the component, I need to reverse the order to duplicate performing the transformations sequentially. Attached is an example. Not a problem, just wondering if anyone knows why this is.See More
