Is the Offset Curve On Surface component broken?

The result looks like it's based on some sort of extrapolated extension of the input curve. It's not what I would expect for an offset..…Continue

Clusters are bugging!

There seems to be a significant bug in the latest Grasshopper 0.8.0052 -- at least on my machine. If there happens to be an expression in the final component before a cluster output arrow, the…Continue

Why is SubCrv not working here?

Is the SubCrv component malfunctioning, or am I misunderstanding how to define a sub-domain of a curve? I am assuming that if a curve length is 5, and you provide a domain from 2 to 3, it would give…Continue

High/Low Point Bug?

Am I misinterpreting what this component should do, or is it not working?Based on the component description and icon, I figure that it should provide the maximum and minimum points on a curve in…Continue

"Okay if it's not broken, can someone confirm that it looks like it's performing as designed? I'll just develop a workaround; but I would rather not if it's something that would be fixed soon."

Clusters are bugging!

There seems to be a significant bug in the latest Grasshopper 0.8.0052 -- at least on my machine. If there happens to be an expression in the final component before a cluster output arrow, the expression appears to have its affect within the cluster once and then once again at the cluster component output. Essentially looping the result through the same expression a second time. For the cluster to work as designed, we have to delete the expression on the cluster. Hopefully the attached photo…See More

Danny Boyes replied to Gabe Krause's discussion Why is SubCrv not working here?
"The Sub Curve needs Parameter t to define its sub domains. Length L does not always equal Parameter t on most curves unless its a line. If you change your inputs to the t of the curves it should work how you like.  "

Is the SubCrv component malfunctioning, or am I misunderstanding how to define a sub-domain of a curve? I am assuming that if a curve length is 5, and you provide a domain from 2 to 3, it would give you the portion of the curve between the points at lengths 2 and 3.Check attached ghx file for an example.See More

Gabe Krause replied to Gabe Krause's discussion High/Low Point Bug?
"Never mind; it looks like it provides the min/max of a curve in the Z-direction of the given plane. That could be a nice minor addition to the component description."

Gabe Krause replied to Sebastian L.'s discussion circle packing+flow along surface?
"I figured out a way to pack a small number of circles on a sphere. The definition is attached. It works good enough; so it will serve my needs for now. I had to ditch the Spring components and use a couple of PowerLaw components instead. I'm a…"

Gabe Krause replied to Sebastian L.'s discussion circle packing+flow along surface?
"This looks great! But I've noticed that if I decrease the number of circles in the sphere_randomcircpack.ghx definition, it does not accomplish any packing. For the problem I'm working on, I am hoping to be able to pack a limited number of…"
