algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi,

i have a question to the definition made by michael,
which can be created rotated ribbons in the areas,
where they come with the respective attractors in connection.

http://formularch.blogspot.de/2012/11/gh-surface-ribbons.html

my question to you would be:
what should i do with this definition,
so that the ribbons contract in the respective areas?
they should become narrow and should not be spinning.

thanks

Hi Rassul,

Increase the number of points, and/or decrease the step size in order to get better and smoother ribbons:

I think you are quite experienced to edit the definition into it's opposite effect - getting ribbons shrank it the white areas instead of black.

he djordie,

thanks for this tool.
this is interesting, but not realy what i wanted to know.
intersting is the thought:
how to convert michael def., turn it from rotating to scaling.

thanks

what will you explain more?
ahh maybe something else! :)

how can i reverse the influence of attractors?
So where the attractors have influence,
the stripes should pull together.

hehehehehe

cool.

maybe you can answer another question?

ist it possible, that the strip not be above the uv space of the original surface?

thanks in advance.

- divide Crvs before loft

- find ClosestPoint on Surface

- use uvP for CurveOnSurface component

- loft

cool, thanks you very much.

no more ask for today. (:

I am sure you can´t abide asking again :-) (komische leo Übersetzung)

hi dedackel,

you know what I need to do with your definition,
if i want, that the edges of the strips lie against one another exactly?

or is there a way to separate the influenz area from the MayOffset/MinOffset.
this make it very difficult, that the edges of the strips are exactly to each other.

thanks
