Is it possble to use hoopsnake in a cluster?

I'm trying to use hoopsnake for the first time, so a bit of a newb at it.  I've been able to get it to work mostly but have two questions:

1. I can't quite figure out the T* input.  I'm assuming that it is an internal monitoring of a Boolean to automatically trigger hoopsnake into running.  But so far I haven't been able to get it to work.  I put a simple toggle boolean component on it but it doesn't seem to trigger anything when I flip between true/false.
2. Is it possible to use hoopsnake within a cluster.  Can I place hoopsnake into the cluster and then have a trigger input outside the cluster (that's what I was hoping to use T* for) to get hoopsnake to automatically run and produce a cluster output?
