Grasshopper surface trim results in a filled hole in rhino. Help!

This is a Rhino Document Mesh Settings problem. The hole is there it is just being displayed as a simple plane. Go to the Rhino Options Window and play around with the custom settings in the Mesh section. if your using Rhino 5 then you need to click on detailed controls as well.
