Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Everyone !

When i am baking a surface with holes, after baking the holes are not holes anymore. Just holes with some kind of surface inside them.(this surface is a panelled surface). Any ideas ? Thank you for any replies !!

So i made a surface with some kind of holes on it with possibilties of size change. Actually it is a planar panelled surface. When i bake it then i can not look through the holes becouse there is a unknown surface in the hole. (before the baking there is no sign of it)
Can you post this surface? Is it possible that the shading mesh is wrong and that it has erroneously covered the holes?

So here is the pic.

Yes, that is indeed a picture of the surface. But without the actual 3D surface I cannot determine whether this problem is due to a bug in the Rhino mesher, whether the surface topology is messed up or whether there is a problem with the Grasshopper -> Rhino baking routine.

By the looks of it, it appears to be a mesher bug, because some of the panels are displayed correctly. Try changing the meshing parameters in Rhino->Tools->Options->Document Properties->Mesh and see if it fixes the gaps.
