Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

New Grasshopper user here, first post.

I'm trying to write a definition for a trellace that I'm designing whose members will warp around multiple points, almost exactly like Shigeru Ban's Swatch building: http://www.shigerubanarchitects.com/works/p25_new-swatch-omega/inde...

The closest I've gotten is based on Michael Pryor's script: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nkTDV6AWjPY/Urey22UtPDI/AAAAAAAAAQc/nALg0...

and the result of my attempt is linked below. The problem is that the script appears to affect the lines whose points cross the specified radius of the point in an equal manner, where as I'm trying to affect the bend of all crossing lines proportional to their proximity to the point so that there isn't any overlap of lines and there's a smooth warp. When I move the point around, it sometimes even deletes the lines that it's supposed to affect.

The script seems sort of glitchy even in Michael's own screen shot where you can see lines going almost straight through the field of influence, so it's a very confusing issue.

I want to stress that I'd like to do this with multiple points in the same grid so I'd appreciate advice for how to write that into the script also. If it's possible, it would also be neat to be able to change the intensity of the warping without adjusting the radius of the field of influence. I hope this is clear and that someone can help!
