hanging cable

I was working on a hanging line from 2 anchored points. I did it in grasshopper, applied some kangaroo physics. I had some problems with applying g force (flatten solved it)

I would also like to blow in the cable and strech it with the wind?

Does it have to be mesh to use wind force?

I scaled my file to 2d version (plane) with predifined (excel) rest lenghts. It doesen't seem to hold together :( Does it has to be mesh for plane editing?
