algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

through a series of analogue experiments i have been applying several patterns to plywood to explore the deformation of the material to create a potential sculpture or pavilion. the cuts are to allow for bending and openings to occur.i have attached a photo of one of my models.

i am now trying to record this digitally, to allow me test several patterns and to compare how each pattern affects the surface. the long term goal is to go into Curvature analysis and Galapagos to develop the right cut for the appropriate folding.

any suggestions would be amazing as to how to go about achieving this.

joe

ps. i can upload my patterns if needed

Joe,

It is hard to find where you must put your anchor points, i´ve some results with a point and fixing the lines point in it.

I made 2 circles and I made some lines conecting thease circles, and in the end of the lines I start to fix the anchor points...

But I think I fixed to much and the bend doesnt work good...

:(

Try it!
