Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi. I'm totally new to both grasshopper and Karamba but I am trying to make an analysis on my wall structure in Karamba jet something is always missing. Like now my cap holes does not triangulate correctly and still if I ignore that and go to analysis the Analyze Thl function says "Model can not be calculated, there are no elements". I'm hoping that this is some simple solution that i'm just overlooking, please help if you can.

Hi Ragnar,

First of all the input geometry into Karamba needs to be clean and connected for the analysis. At the moment you have inputed beams into the model so there will be no results for shell/mesh elements. There are 4 different models plugged into Karamba and these are not connected. The 'Connected Parts' component shows you with the tree structure how the elements are connected.

Secondly, ensure that you flatten the inputs in the 'Assemble' component otherwise you will have created several different Karamba models and therefore the setup turns invalid.

best,
Matthew

Hey, I totally get the frustration with Karamba errors because I once spent an entire night fixing a mesh that just wouldn't triangulate. I was so burned out from looking at those "no elements" warnings that I decided to take a break and ended up at pinco casino just to clear my head. The bonuses for players in Canada were a huge help since they let me dive into some games without overthinking my budget after such a long day. I actually lost a few rounds of roulette, but a quick win on a slot game gave me the spark I needed to go back and finally solve that structural glitch.
