algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I just accepted a job in another city, and while I’m excited, the logistics are giving me a headache. There’s so much to think about – finding housing, packing up my current place, updating documents, sorting out utilities, and figuring out how to actually move all my stuff. On top of that, I need to handle work-related paperwork and make sure I’m ready to start smoothly at the new job. It feels like I’ll definitely forget something unless I find a clear structure. Has anyone used a system or checklist to make relocating more manageable?

You might want to check out the Relocating for a Job Checklist https://pandachecklist.com/view/relocating-for-a-job-checklist It’s laid out with categories that actually reflect the moving process: housing (finding a place, signing leases), travel (booking transport, planning routes), finances (closing old accounts, setting up new ones), and documentation (job papers, ID updates, contracts). What’s really helpful is that you can edit it to your own situation – for example, if your employer is covering relocation, you might add specific tasks like submitting receipts, or if you’re moving with family, you can include things like school registration. It’s not just a generic template, it’s something you can personalize and keep checking off as you go.

I can see this being genuinely helpful. Relocating feels overwhelming because there are so many different types of tasks happening at once. I’d use the checklist as a starting point and then add smaller personal tasks, like canceling my old gym membership, forwarding mail, and arranging pet transport. That way I won’t just rely on memory, and it should make the transition less chaotic.
