Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Maybe this Question is allready answerd but I wasn't able to find it out.

I had a look in the Karamba materialpProperties CSV. file and recognized that the Material Wood is defined with 3 diffrent sig-Values for comp, bend and tention.

Does that mean the FE-algorithem is able to work with a material like this ... so I would be able to create an other more or less orthotrop material in the csv.file ?

Thank you for your help :)

Dear Tobias,

in Karamba 1.2.2 only isotropic material behavior is included. The different stress values are the Young's Modulus, shear modulus and strength of the material.

Karamba 1.3.0 will allow to define orthotropic material behavior.

Best,

Clemens
