algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi, does anyone know how to solve this problem?
I have recently downloaded Honeybee but I'm unable to use it. There's always the error message: You should first let Honeybee fly. I have tried re-downloading all the necessary programs such as Radiance, Daysim, Openstudio and Energyplus, but am still unable to get Honeybee to run. Could anyone suggest any ways which I can solve this problem? I'd appreciate that a lot!
Attached is the screenshot showing the error message.

Hi Nicole,
1. Can you connect "Honeybe_honeybee" and also "Ladybug_ladybug" components to a panel?
And please upload messages here.
like this:
messages tell you what are missed or need to resolve.
2. probably you need download the source file manually and copy it to Ladybug's default folder. It should be "c:\ladybug" or "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Ladybug",
best

Hi Omid, after inserting the panels, i realised that the problem was with "white space".
I went to google how to solve this problem, and I found out that I had to set the "defaultFolder_ input to Ladybug_Ladybug". I couldn't find anything about white space with honeybee, so I assume that I have to set the default folder of honeybee to "C:\honeybee".
My ladybug and honeybee seems to be running fine now! Thanks for your help!
Cheers, Nicole
Nicole,
Please read the Installation Instructions, (Install Radiance to C:\Radiance)!.
For default folder set the "C:\Ladybug" it's enough for both of them.
You can also change your username with no white space (best solution).
Best,
-Omid.
Omid,
Thanks so much for your help! I really appreciate it, my simulation is working now.
