Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, everyone

I'm a novice on grasshopper. When I ran the example named "001_skyTypes", there was a strange problem in the images generated by EmbryoViz. The error shows: Path must be a valid location. I have read a  discussion about this problem. http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/ladybug/forum/topics/beginner-us...

I have tried the solutions mentioned in it, but this problem still exists. I also use the file to check if I have full access to C drive and C:\Ladybug, though I don't know what 's the meaning of results.

Hi Dan,

The last image shows you don't have full access to the folder.

What is interesting in your case is that half of the images is produced. Have you tried to close and re-open the file?

I haven't updated the example files but this is solved in newer version of Honeybee by using an alternate folder. I think this is about the time to make to release a newer version.

Mostapha

Hi Mostapha,

I have tried to re-open this file, but the problem still exists. And the missing images were different every time when I ran it. That's great if the new version of Honeybee can solve this problem. And when will you release this new version?

Dan

The one that you downloaded from Github is the latest version. I hope we can release the new version at some point in August.

Hi Mustapha,

I have the same problem although I'm using the latest version. I get " Path must be a valid location". I closed and re-opened the file but still have the same issue. I'm using the latest version of Honybee and Ladybug. Any Advice?

Mohammed

Hi Mohammed, Can you check and see if the file is actually created on your system? It might be because the simulation has failed and the file hasn't been generated in the first place.

Thank you Mustapha,

The issue was I've older version of Radiance.

Hello Mostapha,

Also, I have the same problem.. some maps appears, but (False color) are not working.. it gives me the same message.. "path must be a valid location" and the other 2 maps are in the same location!!! . Additionally, I have the latest version of HB and Radiance!!

Can you check the folder and try to open the falsecolor file manually? Probably FalseColor analysis doesn't run successfully on your image.

Thank you Mostapha for replying..

Unfortunately, I tried to open it manually but it is not existed... Really strange that it is working in my Desktop in the office, but when I tried to work it in my Laptop (to make a presentation) it is not working, however, I am working in the same file.

Thank you for your help... I really appreciate
