Hey Gerard - this is really cool. I used the same faceted polygons in SolidWorks for a quad-mesh representation of curved folding. I have now set up a dedicated site www.curvedfolding.com, and it would be great if you can share this video with the users (early days yet - only a few users!) and even the .ghx definition?
