create a grid of points, and combine it with surface from points component... should work.

hey, I am trying to do something similar...I need to design a surface that offsets itself to maintain a distance from an attractor, kind of like a hump is created on the surface when the attractor is at that region from below !!! I get to the point where I can influence the surface, but only in a way that the density of packing geometries ( like spheres ) reduces to maintain a fixed distance. How do I make the packing geometry to move in the Z direction rather than what is happening right now...
