Parametric Urbanism - Floorplate Solar Performance

Potential direct sunlight during winter solstice is calculated for each floorplate as the footprint coverage of courtyard types is varied. (ie, total floor area is preserved but the envelope is re-calculated). Green signifies areas with 3 or more hours of sunlight per day.

could you please pass a little more about the tools you used? what i really enthusiast in to know is the process from modeling to analyzing.
