The grasshopper component doesn't change and of the scripts in the rhino toolbar, it just rewrites some of the text files needed for each analysis. I found a bug in the latest grasshopper assembly when I tried to introduce drop down menus, the assembly has been changed back to a working version which is available on the wiki i . First I would try renaming the rhino file (this creates a whole new folder for the generation of the text files), then run a complete analysis with the toolbar (location>nodes>material>metric. Then try the revised grasshopper assebly. If this fails, erase the c:Radiance folder and download the installer (has the revised assembly in it), overwrite the old assembly in the grasshopper components folder. In general, if an error gets generated in the workflow, rerunning the analysis from scratch in rhino then going back to grasshopper should correct it. Let me know if this works for you.

Hm, the problem seems to be in Diva-for-Rhino. It works fine before i started with Diva-for-Grasshopper. Now everytime I try to use Metrics i got this error:

Line: 593

Char:4

Error: Type mischmatch: 'UBound'

Code 0

URL:  file://C:\Radiance\DIVA\resources\scripts\RadExport.html

I found on Diva-for-Rhino forum someone with the same problem and advice was to delete old files from old version of radiance and i did so but it's still the same. Is it possible that Diva-for- Grasshoper make this error ?

Hi Adam,
Which analysis isn't working for you? Did you get results when running the analysis with the Diva toolbar in rhino first?

Hi Jeff,

I have just asked our IT manager and he said the problem is that we have a proxy and that port 80 is blocked. Would there be any ways to change the port with which it is installing?

Apologies for the inconvenience.

If possible, we would like to show DIVA during our workshop in Sao Paulo. Is Radiance installed during the setup process and is it going through Ecotect?

Many thanks and all the best,

Arthur

Hi Jeff,

Thanks a lot for your reply. Unfortunately I got the message again today while running DIVA for Rhino (version 1.1f) Setup. I am online. Could it be Windows 7?

Many thanks,

Arthur

Hi Arthur,

Thanks for your interest, I now have the time to update the tutorials and refine the grasshopper script a bit, we will post DIVA on the grasshopper groups soon.

The installation requires an internet connection to get the latest updates of some of the software. Diva is actually a suite of simulation engines which include radiance and daysim  and a falsecolor image viewer (and soon energy plus). I just tested it from my computer and it ran ok, try again making sure your connection is active, let me know if you still get the message-

Jeff
