Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

I am new to grasshopper.

Have been experimenting for a while, but this a complete unusual field to me.

I have created a hull surface with Orca and and created some frames inside the mirrored and joined hull.

Then I wanted to offset it with GH in order to have a material thickness in the hull.

Therefore I took one side of the hull surface and made the offset.

But now the frames (which worked fine before I refencered them to the offset instead of the hull) show in the wrong direction.

The offset shows in positive y, the swypes of the frames in negative y direction.

How can I change this?

I have been searching long time for an component that trims the offset to the y-plane again.

Can someone tell me where to find that?

The set up for the frames seems to have quite a lot of steps to me.

Does anyone see a chance to make it easier?

The frames are supposed to be vertical at the sides, upper and lower side shall match to the inside of the hull (the offset surface)

Next wish would be the floors set to each second, third or fourth frame.

I already set a slider for this but could not find a way to have no floors on the frames in between.

I think thats it for the moment.

If anyone knows how to solve these issues..., that would be great.

Best regards,

André

Hi John,

what do you mean by link file?

Can't you download or see the attached rhino and GH files?

Best,

André
