algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Geometry Gym Plug-ins - AEC BIM and Computational Geometry

Grasshopper plug-ins assisting Architectural and Structural modelling including BIM under constant development and improvement.  Computational geometry solvers useful to many other designers.

StructDrawRhino is a Generic Structural Drawing and Geometry Computation plug-in, with functions for sweeping profiles (not necessarily structural), generating Geodesic Domes, Mesh Relaxation, Force Density for Mesh vertex and network curve filleting to produce Cells.

Smart Structural Interpreter (SSI) is a suite of plug-ins, each capable of generating and exchanging Structural Model Data with external modelling programs such as Oasys GSA, Robot, SAP2000, SDNF (Steel Detailing Neutral Format that detailing programs such as Tekla can read), Sofistik, SpaceGass and Strand7. Development of versions for RISA and REVIT are underway amongst others.
You can learn a lot more and download example models on my blog, http://geometrygym.blogspot.com, and you can download the plug-ins from the project wiki, http://www.geometrygym.com
Don't hesitate to get in touch if you wish to learn more or request a feature/new program.

Hi Emma,

If you install the plugins, run rhino command sdrZZLicenseUpdate and follow the prompts.  I'll email back with instructions including subsequent arrangements for longer free licenses for academic work.

Cheers,

Jon

Yes, it actually is primarily programmed using the new v5 sdk Rhino Common (the same as Grasshopper).

There is one known loading issue with 64bit v5 where it Rhino start up is delayed, I am trying to resolve this issue with McNeel.

does it also work with Rhino5?

The link dialog box text doesn't grab focus when initiated, sorry. I've triple checked this time, thanks for letting me know.
