algorithmic modeling for Rhino
The new Kangaroo version also includes a new way of using the engine. Instead of the usual 'live' timer/reset combination where you see the animated process as it happens, this solves internally until a specified energy threshold is met and outputs only the final result.
It's not live, but not really dead either, hence: 'Zombie Kangaroo'
Because all the physics looping is kept internal, the component can behave like a regular Grasshopper component, and is much easier to use together with things like Galapagos.
Here is shown a simple example where Galapagos adjusts the weight of a hanging mesh so it is at a certain height after reaching equilibrium

How is this difference from using a sequence to control the number of iterations run? Is it just that it's open-ended?
Also, this: http://waterbornemovie.com/ :D
As promised, some videos of zombie-roo in action:

Good times,

Booom, gunshot to the head of zombie kangaroo, can be packaged in a cluster! Fantastic Daniel, userObjects with scripts of kangaroo :)
haha how much thought went into how a kangaroo would walk if it was a zombie? nice icon!
Excellent release, the zombie-roo was most useful in our latest project up in Aalborg! I'll try to upload some video with some examples to the CITA Vimeo account when I get the chance. On an aside I noticed today that the Plankton shipping with Kangaroo (this one and the previous release) is not the same as the one on GitHub (or at least the GH functionality isn't). Cheers, Anders
Thank you Daniel!
awesome! cant wait to have try!
