Hi Christoph,

Thank you for your response. Is it possible to create a doubly curved shape with this technique?  If it is than is a very innovative technique. It seems any form can be created without the question of cost of molding. Did you register any patents for this?

Dear Mehmet,

Bendind with mold—an additional mold defines the shape the parts will take.

Zipping the parts—the information about the future shape is already embodied in the parts, no additional mold needed, parts are fixed with a vacuum bag during the drying process of the glue.

Could you explain what the difference is between moulded production and zipping two parts to create the form. Is it that you do not use moulds to create the curve of the seats? How do you fix the two parts togather? I wonder if this type of production lowers the moulding cost.
