Andy, I haven't. About 10 years back while I was at uni I had an idea to make a wall filled with oriented mirrors and paint the ceiling with a reduced palette or gradient. Then, make sure the mirrors are angled in such a way so that they reflect a specific colour from the ceiling when you stand in a specific spot, so the wall becomes an image rather that seemingly random colour noise.

This was step 1 in trying to recreate that project.
