algorithmic modeling for Rhino

The picture shows a boxshaped volume that consists of three- dimensionally stacked truncated ocathdrea. Each of the individual modules has its own degree of elasticity assigned, that will be later produced wih the help of layered fabrication.
The FE based deformation diagram has been converted into a selection pattern for the individual material properties.GH was used for the morphing process of the spacefilling module.

hi andrew,
to get the information from the FE software is a bit of work and not really elegant. i am sectioning the 3D performance diagram into horizontal plates with their specific analysis information.from that i generate a selection matrix in paracloud, that gives me points for 6 layers of material specification. these points are then used to boxmorph the octahedron into place. it is a bit laborious but i am looking for a more smooth way.

That's really cool how did you interact with the FE software an
