Hey Danny,

In its simplest form it is an aggregation of polyhedral packing. From there the edges are extracted to create the "bone" network and the polygons are "warped" via getting numerous points along their edges and utilizing the mesh from points plugin (which I can only get to run in grasshopper when running rhino 4 - haven't been able to get it to work in grasshopper with Rhino5). Then from there I used the mesh relaxing/catmull smoothing to soften everything up.
