Hi Simone,

thanks for your kind recognition!

I startet by by defining an overall shape, in this case three bundled 'loft towers'. 

In the next step i converted this surfaces into meshes, using the kangaroo meshmachine by Daniel Piker  http://www.grasshopper3d.com/profiles/blogs/dynamic-remeshing-now-w...

This meshes undergo a static loding test (done with Karamba), determinig in which areas greater or lesser forces occure. This returns a load value for each meshface.

The last step is a growing algorthim done with Anemone by Mateusz Zwierzycki http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/anemone

This algorithm uses the load values, calculated for each face, as a growing direction. This results in a structure that is concentrating in heavily loaded areas and avoiding less loaded ones.

The resulting polylines are meshed with Cocoon Plugin by David Stasiuk http://www.bespokegeometry.com/2015/07/22/cocoon/

Hi Pauli,

this looks amazing.

Since I'm doing my master thesis right now and I am looking for something that may look quite similar to this shape, I was wondering: where did you start from? What is the most important tool you use for this? Did you use any plug in? These towers look really cool but I cannot understand how you made them so "soft".
