algorithmic modeling for Rhino

This was a research that I carried out in my 3rd year project at the AA, its inspired by Living Root Bridges, located in the depths of north-eastern India region of Cherrapunji where bridges aren't built - they're grown(link: http://rootbridges.blogspot.co.uk/), I used Grasshopper to parameterize the local environmental dynamics, optimisation of resources and the grow rate of mangroves as a way to use biomass (mangrove plantations) as sediment regulators in the non-geologically stable Dubai world islands development, as a way to propose a new living infrastructure that could regulate the island sedimentation cycles and simultaneously regenerate and stabilise the destroy local marine ecosystem, while providing a foundations for a new LivingArchitecture.

BTW, I think AA is really spearheading parametric design. Talking of the other very established school, GSD, where I went for my MArch I, things are mostly very traditional and the professors tend to be critical and suspicious of new approaches...
