Thanks for you're comments Djordie, yeah I'd l like to have several different sizes maybe one for a pendant lamp another for a table lamp, maybe one for a task lamp, I haven't looked at this definition file for awhile I should get onto updating it. I did want to 3d print out the parts seperately, but you're right lateral rings will increase the stiffness and durablility. I haven't thought too much about fabric, but I think it could be nice to diffuse the light with some semi transparent polyproplyene or maybe 3D print some thin walls on the bottom, I need to do some more freehand sketching before I jump back on the computer I think :)

Are you going to have some lateral rings? That will keep the construction all together?

Hey its very much a work in progress. I was thinking of putting diffused LED light strips down the beams to project light out. I want to keep it very bare soley as a truss frame

David, this will be a lamp shade construction, for a table lamp?
And you will cover it with some fabric?
