Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I received an invitation from Dr. Quinsan Ciao– the chair of Architecture Department in Kuwait University– regarding the Teaching Assistantship of a Design Studio course with emphasis on computer aided architectural and urban design at the advance level for senior architectural students. Therefore, I started my cooperation in this class with Dr.Dashti who had worked on Parametric Approaches in Pennsylvania State University
Objective: Opening up horizons of technical advances and advantages of computational technologies through the use of computer modeling, Parametric design, rendering and digital fabrication. Provide a parametric design operator that controls the 3D geometric patterns behavior. The behavior can be related to target points, direction, fixed or random values. Students could control the behavior of components relative to point of interest or orientation (per formative control, Sun location and movement).
My most important role in that course was Teaching the Rhino and the Grasshopper as a Parametric Softwares to the Students.
