It's not much difficult. You could generate it from base surface, or just points grid(For this I generated from deformed points grid.) You just need basic grid of points (whether it is from surface or not). And you can organize point groups and connect them with Bezier curves. Then make a sectional curve between Bezier curve and sweep it. More information you can find on my blog( livecomponents-ny.com )

Is this generated from a surface? I'm researching inflatables for a school project and would be very interested if you could give me some direction on how to create this from a surface. I expect its more difficult than just moving UV points around.
