algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Master's Degree thesis and dissertation work
on the design studio of complex steel structures, in particular the case of a “coverage area” for the Swimming Olympic Stadium of
Rome, supported by branched pillars. The work included study and evaluation of forces and a research on the evolution of
this structural type, in particular from Gaudi to Frei Otto and his successors, and also from the Benoit Mandelbrot’s study on fractal
geometries in nature, to the new algorithmic and parametric methods of modeling associated to theories made famous by the
"resistance to form". Purpose of the thesis was to create a system able to identify through various tests, and thanks to the
Clapeyron ‘s energy theorems on the work of deformation, the trend and the resulting three-dimensional optimization of each
branch of each support, characterized by loads always different and asymmetric.

I highly appreciate your thesis "Form Finding of Branched Structures". It is very interesting to me.
Could you please send me your work and your 3D model ?
Thank you so much

Awesome, what's your software for force analysis?

I have bachelor of civil engineering, started to study M-arch and work with grasshopper recently, this course we must choose our thesis topic and I'd like to make a link between these branches, i need to know what kind of software is best for analysing parametric structures!
