Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Finished frame. Optimised for specific torsional stiffness using experimental design. FEA Done using Scan and solve. Grasshopper was a great tool for speeding up the modelling of all of the 'Boring Geometry" allowing the user to have more time to be creative. The definition took a while to set up but can directly output a simple tubular bike, how ever for a more complex form requires some slight post processing in T-splines. So it is only beneficial to create such a definition if there will be future frame designs.

It would be really cool if the structural analysis gradient was actually printed on the bike itself!
