Though I decided to print a less dense version. So it was easier to trace the continuity of each loop as it weaves through all the other layers.

The sphere is formed using kangaroo, similar logic to an elastic band ball.

Haha, no progression. Fairly simple process. Its like an elastic band ball, start with loads of loops. Then have them all contract around a sphere. Then the obvious advantage is you can start with loops that are already interlocking, as opposed to being serial.
