eh eh i don't have the money in this moment, sorry :D well, i supposed that this project is a concept for a really building, not just a idea. however the ferrocement was used by Nervi, after the brevet, for big buildings like sports hall, hangar, etc. for the cheapness, handiness and elasticity of the single components whereby he divided the structure for prefabrication.

ok, ok.. i know... i'm just a fan of Nervi's buildings :P

Well, I guess it is possible but the idea of building a lightweight object even if it is lightweight concrete is left behind. There might me problems with the span width, cause the concrete might be to heavy. But if you want to build it and you have the money go ahead and we can figure it out together if it works ;-)

is it possible for you to evaluate the chance to make the supporting structure in Ferrocement
(Pierluigi Nervi's "ferrocemento")?

@ Michael Pryor

Partly, only the roof is done with GH. The structure is created with Rhino, T-splines + weaverbird

@ Maurizio Barberio

The whole object is a lightweight structure. Therefore my idea was to build the supporting structure of 3 materials: first the core, out of styrofoam, respectively Mycobond (a lightweight natural eco, bearing material) then the covering, made of reinforced carbon fibre and finally a protective coating.

The roof elements consist in 2 parts: first the supporting structure made of reinforced carbon fibre elements and secondly a pneumatic system out ETFE foil, a fluorine based plastic.

no, my question is related about the structure of the roof... concrete and steel with glass?

Is this in grasshopper?
