hi... i used contour lines as a guide to generate Delaunay Triangulation. Through these lines i extracted control points, and this is the reason that points match with the boundary of polygon...

how did you get the points to line up on the edge of the surface? the only way i could apply this to a surface was to choose random points throughout the surface and hope a few hit the edge.
