Wow! I didn't knew that the geometry preview from grasshopper interact with the clipping plane from rhino.
in the last picture you can see, that it is possible to connect the clipping plane to grasshopper, so you can choose the color of the fillings, even it is customizable in rhino itself. But maybe the connecting to a batch render definition could be interesting.

I just draw a rectangle on the clipping plane. maybe you have to move the rectangle just a little bit away from the clipping plane to add a tolerance. and then just group the clipping plane and the rectangle and refernece the rectangle to grasshopper.

to get the section you can use the plane intersection components to get a planar curve

Looks good. Do you just use the clipping plane to do a section and then preview these intersection regions? How did you reference the clipping plane?
