two cases for the same location:
1. Small scale. Only one room, where i want to get a daylight analysis.
2. Big scale. Urban area (say 10 by 10 blocks, for the sake of the discussion), where i want to perform a radiation analysis on the blocks.
So, different scales, and different tasks. The question is, what would be the flowchart to do the job taking correctly the influence of the mask for both.
I believe i'm missing something from your explanation, but hopefully your answer will help not only me, but others to have a good and correct use of the component.
Makes sense what i'm asking?
Thanks,

ok
windows 7 ultimate 64bit regional setting : United Kingdom
Rhino 4 SR8 GH0.8.0007 working normal without problem
Rhino 5 64 bit build 0301 the behavior as described above
Oh, ok yes thank you, but the main problem is to control metaball area/volume... i can't do that with the normal metaball 2 or 3D component... i think...isn't it true?
ortunatly using 1 doesn't work because sweep doesn't have the "keep vertical" option. Maybe I even need more in-between frames)
3 - create 2 sections, one for each lateral, on world system (OK)
4 - orient sections with frames. (NOT OK)
I want to align first section with frames of first lateral rail of each road,
do the same for second section for every second lateral.
Basically I can create a branch of sections that match the first road branch.
When using these trees in the orient it works for the first road branch but subsequent ones just repeat the last section instead of the whole branch.
How can I apply one branch tree to each of the source tree branches?
TIA

raboloids rotated 45° one from another).
1 - I have the dimensions (hight at the centre:5,9m ; at the vertex of the overhhang: 10 m ect)
2- my idea is to model one hypar and copy it after.
3- STEP 1modelling the parabola on the ZY plane knowing one point (x: 6,2; y: 0) and vertex (0 ; 11,5)
4 - rotate the parabola 30° (the structure has a overhang)
5 - model the second parabola known the first parabola vertex and the hight at the center
6 - create a loft surface (?)
7- copy and rotate 4 times
8- trim the extra off
My work so far is a real mess..can someone help me rationalized it in grasshopper instructions? Molte grazie…
I never thought it would be this hard to get windows into the model :)
ps - thank you for showing me a cleaner way to set up the zones. It looks MUCH better. …
wondering if there is a more elegant way to solve this problem than using the tree explode component and then connecting the outputs one by one (see file attached).
This solution is ok for 10 points but not for 1000 points. ;)
Any suggestions would be great!!!!
Thank you in advance!!!!…
