) In the Rhino view port it is not possible to modify it until is backed (and I don't want!) I need to place several images each one in a different place.
2) Is it possible to use another component THAT DO NOT CONVERT INTO BLACK AND WHITE, the pictures??. I need to set COLOR images in a 3D model, using grasshopper. thanks!
Any comment or suggestion would be welcome!!!
Thanks a lot!

brep.
I am obviusly doing this in grasshopper (using a image to map the lines with the imagesampler) but this question goes beyond the software. it is more about geometry, I guess.
it involves to unwrape a geometry, but having always continuity from one to an other.
here a image of the concept
You have to keep in mind that the brep (in this case a circular shape) its longer than the shape of the plane. so it is difficult to place them flat in photoshop to paint and create the continuity.
here the images that I am using to map the lines on the geometries. I am using a definition that creates lines from a image black&white like this one
but in order to achive the continuity from the ground to the facade of the building I am thinking that the only posibility would be to use a software where I can paint a gemetry in 3D. LIKE ZBRUSH
but how do I get the map back out and flat to use is correctly in grasshopper?
anyone as any ideas?
Please!!!
THANKS!
HAVE A GREAT DAY!

3d voronoi from which i extract a cell for each point. After this i need to compute the intersection between each cell and the surface.
I tried two approaches: one with "Brep|Brep intersection" and then "Curve splitting", and another with "Split Brep".
The first solution works (below) perfectly but the "Curve splitting" phase can be bloody slow! Sometimes it requires more than 1.5 minutes
The "Split Brep" solution (below) is much faster, but for each cell it returns me TWO surface: the one inside the Voronoi cell and the one outside. These are inside a three with a branch for each curring surface. The problem is than inside the branches, sometimes the first element is the inner surface, sometimes it's the outer.
Is there a way to use "Split Brep" and throw away the outer surfaces?
Do you suggest any other method?
Thank you very much, and sorry for my terminology: i've been using GH for 2 days :/…
raries by entering %appdata% into the dialog box and browsing to the Grasshopper Libraries folder to find KangarooSolver.dll.)
Oh wow, because of "physics" there is substantial gap between the surface layer of many particles and the inner truss, so we already have some form of boundary adaptive 3D meshing, albeit only in the surface "XY" direction not the normal "Z" direction. There's less full XYZ directional force on the particles at the surface, so they can cluster more there due to the forces from within having to struggle much more against one another from all directions. Something like that.
Differing surface curvature has not much if any affect on particle packing:
The actual physics of electrons along a conductor says they are all on the surface, where they concentrate at sharp features, but here I imagine if they concentrated more at the finger tip, they would then push more interior particles away, which is not very adaptive after all.
Higher falloff exponents than 3 (actually -3) give much more even distances of surface vs. interior, so my color coding by length doesn't even work and there are visibly a lot more interior particles:
I confirm that exponent -2 drives everything to the surface, but also gives a quite odd artifact that they are not minimizing energy by close packing away from each other but are forming squares that seem to align with the UV directions of the container:
Exponent -4 then and even more -5 maximize the interior population, but beyond -5 it it becomes unstable and bounces around like crazy.
The Kangaroo2 custom goal C# script is simple enough:
I'm still confused how to attenuate the effect according to distance to the surface and also curvature of the surface when you are getting close to it since I don't understand if Kangaroo is running the entire Grasshopper script each iteration or not so I could just do calculations via Grasshopper stuff and feed it into the C# script as needed?

Architectural Animation_ Designing National Cyber Games Center in Tehran by Using Digital Architecture Findings
Game is one of the oldest human behaviors and it is specifically related to the culture and region in every society. Considering the change and growth in societies, they –the games- coordinate themselves with these changes. Inventing digital tools, games entered a new arena and quickly changed to a remarkable area in industry and economic market and they also attract more time and audience towards themselves, not requiring big and special spaces, being accessible to public. Regarding the extensive effects of computer games on economic, cultural, educational, physical and mental health arenas, every country has done a deal with content control, supporting producers, increasing public awareness and etc within its special background. Iran computer and video games foundation as a non-profit organization takes charge of different domain support and control in this effective industry under the supervision of Ministry of Guidance. Architecture and computer games in different domains have influenced each other and are interconnected. And since games are played in one space, they require game space designing together with type of the game. So game designers need knowledge and studies in architecture design. Architecture, inventing digital tool, used its features to advance its goals, as games did. Although at first it used them for drawings and visual expressions of ideas, extending these features, they were used in design process. Meanwhile, using digital technics produced specifically for animation making and computer games leaded to their more proximity. In the design of Iran computer and video games center, we tried to use digital features in all steps. Therefore extracting main parameters from the designing process steps and changing them to computer codes (using algorithm), we tried to make its various states producible and to provide the possibility of optimizing the required area, maximum vision to key spaces around the site and also the amount of received light. Also in designing the project facade, after research on various technics of exfoliation and façade design, Media façade was used for a better compatibility with video games. With an approach to creating mobility for the audience and the computer game producers in the greenbelt near the project, physical playgrounds were created for them.…

len , I lost all of my work (at least the 3d modeling)
And I frankly if I want to participate I´ll need to finnish up the board and i cant do the renders on my own I need more time , but I only have until 11:59 pm of July 6 to finnish up one render, if you feel up to the challenge, whoever completes it will receive 290 dollars (its all I can give) to any account you want. I basically need one single image.
It consists on 3 towers, with an organic facade, I'm including the competition board I had saved on in my dropbox, I want more or less the same perspective shown on the left of the board.
Sorry, but i'm desperate, I had it all done but well cant control everything in life i guess, only do it if you feel you can pull off a professional render.
Thanks. (contact me and I´ll give you more info on the towers, I was able to save some limited sections and floor plans .... but yeah.. limited, so you´ll have to base your work on the images I provide here.
I can give some files now, including images of the physical model.
Board: http://i.minus.com/idYpFK844DWns.jpg
Physical model: http://imgur.com/a/PywJa
Hope its enough, I'm also including one image i had where I explored the footprints of all the buildings, but its just for reference.
I know theres barely enough time to finnish it... but I dont know what else to do, do you guys think i should probably just take a good photograph of the model and run with that? I feel that would probably look very unprofessional :l but I really dont have a choice here

Singapore
DESCRIPTION : Two seemingly contrasting ideas combined will turn into something remarkably new. This resulted in the idea of Digital Craftsmanship – connecting the digital technology with artisans’ craftsmanship. Singapore is uniquely positioned to benefit from both – the latest technology in digital fabrication, as well as the beautiful and rich culture of ASEAN craftsmanship in countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. The NUS digital fabrication in architecture studio introduces advanced design to fabrication flow, such as 3D modeling, simulation, digital fabrication and physical assembly and testing. We discover existence of data flow distinguishes digital and conventional craftsmanship, prolonging the interface between human and object. The result is very encouraging –the Digital Craftsmanship approach could lead innovative yet regionally relevant contemporary architectural design, complex yet controlled functional geometry and aesthetics. We hope this exhibition could raise our awareness about preserving the precious wisdom of traditional craftsmanship alongside with advanced fabrication technologies in architecture.
