i can't use the partition tool since for diffrent days there are
diffrent amounts of hours of sun. eg 1 januari from 8:00 to 16:00
and 1 februari from 8:00 to 18:00. Wich is making the information
in the list very hard to handle. So can anyone help me find the average yearly sunvector for every hour
for each month
for example
avg sunvector for the whole of januari1:00, avg sunvector (the avareages of all sunvectors at 1:00 in januari)2:00 , avg sunvector3:00 , avg sunvectoruntill24:00, sunvector tempavg for the whole of februari1:00, avg sunvector2:00 , avg sunvector (the avareages of all sunvectors at 2:00 in februari)3:00 , avg sunvectoruntill24:00, avg sunvectorand this for every month of the year.
I want to be able to optimize a surface wich is divided into multiple meshes (so for each part of the surface i want to relate it's normal to the vector of the sun). I'm not so much interested in the visualisations. I hope this is atleast abit understandable.ps: this question is atleast abit simular to my previous question on wich i got some really good help, wich i'm very gratefull for.
Thanks in advance!Included: gh file + the epw file i'm using…

It looks like the last build of Firefly was in 2015 for Rhino5.
Are there any plans to give this project another pass for Rhino 6 compatibility?
The Kinect 2.0 for Windows depth, color and mesh streams were of phenomenal utility!
I understand that there are multiple routes for obtaining this information like the SDK, and PrimeSense had a branch working on Kinect..
If this project is on a good long pause, I may try to write a bridge for this information into grasshopper for Rhino 6 using the Kinect 2.0 for Window SDK. Im just a code-kitty though, so that might be more than is realistic ^_^.
Is this binary right now? Rhino 5 + all plugins, or Rhino 6 and no promises?
Miss you Firefly <3…

Finally here is the activity log for the last 3 years which I wonder how it will look like by the end of next year. :)

2:同じファンクション内のdist = rs.Distance(self.pos,b.pos)についてですが
is that my computer apparently can't handle this amount of data. I suspect it's a problem for my video card (I'm running it on a 2015 MacBook Pro with the most powerful configuration).
1 - I'm using mesh because it seems easier for the video card to handle than nurbs.
2 - To compute on GH it takes just a few minutes. To bake it takes hours.
3 - After baking it crashes. It's computing for half hour and then it responds for half second and then it crashes again and compute for half hour... recursively.
4 - In the command line it says: "AutoSave failed".
Any guess about how to make it run better? settings? geometry tricks? praying?…
he path curve into a polycurve (arc and line segments). In this member it seems the orientation vector is near parallel to the end segment, so a default orientation is assumed.
Your gh definition was saved in a state to generate IFC4 (right click on bake component). But your path curves aren't "planar". I've attached a definition that projects interpolated points onto a planed fit to 3 points. Then I get a lot more members created in Revit (I've not seen you can create a non-planar path curve in Revit). Revit does have nurbs capability, but not as functional as Rhino and you'll see few members out of position. You could try building the curves with fewer points, but if you accept a generic model beam (difficult to edit but should represent ok in revit) then I've been working on a new workflow to generate non-planar or arbitrary elements in Revit by exporting the geometry to a .dwg or .sat (2014) file and then importing into a generic model family. It's much slower but can achieve nurbs geometry transfer. I'll demonstrate this soon (I need to check on the sweep I'm getting).
Note Revit 2014 seems to have gone backwards from Revit 2013 in depicting beams with nurbs profiles, so anyone creating similar should stick to 2013 until a patch (or 2015) comes out. I'll monitor this.
Hope it helps, will post the alternate method ASAP.

e radius). I used David Stasiuk Cocoon in order to make the shape. http://www.bespokegeometry.com/2015/07/22/cocoon/
After being happy with the shape I toggle the final generation of mesh from Cocoon with a subd of 1 (126,792 faces). I then calculate direction I want for the pattern, here the same directions as the nearest curve. Surely not the smartest way of doing but it works.
After that Reaction Diffusion could be used. A good site to understand is http://www.karlsims.com/rd.html A good site to choose feed and kill values is http://mrob.com/pub/comp/xmorphia/index.html In order to modify the size of the pattern I use B diffusion and also the size of the mesh. The directionality is controlled by _factor > 1 and pattern will follow tangents, and < 1 pattern will be perpendicular to the tangents.
Here differents parameters to play with
This script could surely be used to replicate Nervous Reaction design, thanks to them to their creativity. http://n-e-r-v-o-u-s.com/Laurent Delrieu August 2015…
