o cannot afford to own a house in Kerala. The percentage of such households is likely to be higher especially in larger urban areas. This hypothesis holds good for Indian cities. With increasing urbanization, these cities have attracted a large percentage of floating population. Further, the increasing cost of ownership housing outstripping the increases in incomes has made housing less affordable over time. The scarcity of institutional finance for housing has made the situation even tougher on this count. The conglomeration of these forces would imply that a larger and larger proportion of households in urban areas would opt for rental housing. Due to the continuing appreciation in Real Estate in Kerala , buying land in the prominent urban areas is a difficult proposition. The evidence from Indian cities however runs contrary to expectations. Over the period 1961-81 the percentage of households living in rental housing has declined in a majority of the urban areas. Further the decline has been sharper in the case of larger urban areas than that of the smaller cities. The percentage of tenant households declined in all the twelve metropolitan cities in India. The decline ranged from five per cent for (Kolkota and Hyderabad) to 27 percent (for Lucknow). The explanation for the decline in the size of rental housing has to be found either on the demand or supply side factors. An attempt has been made in this study to do the same in the case of one metropolitan city of India namely Delhi. Even though the explanation would vary from city to city some generalization can definitely be drawn from the case of Delhi.…

ports in a professional capacity. Built-in section tools?! mind-blown!
It looks like the last build of Firefly was in 2015 for Rhino5.
Are there any plans to give this project another pass for Rhino 6 compatibility?
The Kinect 2.0 for Windows depth, color and mesh streams were of phenomenal utility!
I understand that there are multiple routes for obtaining this information like the SDK, and PrimeSense had a branch working on Kinect..
If this project is on a good long pause, I may try to write a bridge for this information into grasshopper for Rhino 6 using the Kinect 2.0 for Window SDK. Im just a code-kitty though, so that might be more than is realistic ^_^.
Is this binary right now? Rhino 5 + all plugins, or Rhino 6 and no promises?
Miss you Firefly <3…

hands-on project
Learn from and connect with leading fashion and tech experts
Acquire industry insights to enhance your professional goals
Participants will gain proficiency in a range of tools and methods relevant to current commercial and artistic practices. The program will provide an overview of software and programming environments that include Python, Processing, Rhino, and Z-Brush, as well as instruction in 3D printing and digital fabrication processes. Participants will apply their skills to the collaborative creation and production of printed wearables that will be presented publicly at the conclusion of the course. How to Apply Designers, architects, engineers, artists, and advanced university students from related fields are invited to apply and participate in defining this emerging area of fashion design! A good understanding of computational modeling methods and parametric design approaches is preferred, but not required.
NEW DEADLINE! Applications must be submitted online by Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 12pm (noon). We will then select qualified participants in order to form the most dynamic and diverse group of potential collaborators. Selected participants will be notified of their acceptance by Friday, June 27. Questions? Contact: Paul Amitai (paul@eyebeam.org). APPLY NOW!

s long merely? Well, the first step alone took a minute and the second step failed. Not an informative error though, since instead of a Boolean failure, it's a parallel processing generic bug in the middle of the run, and it's not easy to pare down to only a few bad pieces since it's temperamental about input:
Runtime error (AggregateException): One or more errors occurred.Traceback: line 27, in run, "C:\Users\Nik\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\5.0\Plug-ins\IronPython (814d908a-e25c-493d-97e9-ee3861957f49)\settings\lib\ghpythonlib\parallel.py" line 31, in script
Since there's no rhyme or reason to it as I pare down the model pieces, I'm stuck. I'll have to figure out the smallest group I can input to reproduce it and post to the scripting forum here.
I note that the parallel command seems to run the part pairs in its input list in rather different order each time, but the error only depends on the input, not coming and going with re-running the script. It seems unrelated to geometry, more like list length with some odd and even effect too.
The identical error is cited here, with no answer:

he same results as the component "evaluate curve" :D
By cons how can you have the length of a curve? Because the value of the domain does not give me the length.
"domain.T1" gives 27 and my length's curve is 24
I also have other small questions:
- Is it normal that the "run script" button does not work?
List <Curve> c = new List <Curve> ();
I declare a list and when I type "c." The drop-down list of available functions does not appear, is this normal?
Where can I find the functions available for these lists?

Horticulture and Landscape in same time.
The most common plastic materials used as agricultural films are the low density polyethylene (LDPE, with a density less than 0.93 kg m−3), the copolymer of ethylene and vinyl-acetate (EVA)
Also here you can find the characteristics of the flexible materials for greenhouse covers (adapted from CPA, 1992 and Tesi, 2001) as much as i get.
UV-PE Film ( UV-PE~ polyethylene Long life or UV)
Thickness (mm) = 0.18
Direct PAR transmissivity (%) = 90
Diffuse PAR transmissivity (%)= 86
Long-wave IR transmissivity (%)= 65
EVA Film ( EVA~Ethylene vinyl-acetate copolymer)
Thickness (mm) = 0.18
Direct PAR transmissivity (%) = 90
Diffuse PAR transmissivity (%)= 76
Long-wave IR transmissivity (%)= 27
and here you will find the global heat transfer coefficient’ (K in W m−2 °C−1) for the above greenhouse covering materials, measured under normalized conditions (temperatures: exterior: −10°C, interior: +20°C, wind: 4 m s−1). (Source: Nisen and Deltour, 1986.)
Cover Clear sky Overcast Sky
Single PE 8.8-9.0 7.1- 7.2
Single EVA 7.8 6.6
Note : the PAR radiation (photosynthetically active or photoactive radiation and its the amounts to 45–50% of the global radiation; Berninger, 1989)
The name PAR is used to designate the radiation with wavelengths useful for plant photosynthesis. It is accepted that the PAR radiation ranges from 400 to 700 nm (McCree, 1972), although some authors consider the PAR from 350 to 850 nm.
The composition of the radiation changes with time, as a function of the Sun’s elevation and the cloudiness. When the Sun is low over the horizon, the short wavelengths are reduced (less UV and more red). The clouds reduce the amount of energy, greatly decreasing the NIR.
The PAR proportion in relation to the global radiation increases with scattering (diffusion). It is lower with clear sky and in the summer (45–48%).
