{8} become {1) etc
(see image attached)
I've played around with series components and feeding the data into a tree branch in stages (0-4 5-9 etc), however the amount of branches i need to merge (5 in this case) is a variable that plan on changing in the future so I want a more sophisticated solution than manually copying groups of series components and feeding them into separate tree branches. Thanks in advance for any help…

number of divisions on that curve as in the defintion (i.e. by 4). The offset in the def is slightly different and should cull two or three more curves as in the lists that show my aim below.
Basically I want to look into each branch of the groups of points from each closed curve . Marking in a list whether it contains a one or a zero (0= outside 1 = coincidents).
{0;0}0. 21. 22. 23. 2 {0;1} 0. 01. 22. 03. 2 {0;2}0. 01. 02. 03. 0 {0;3}0. 21. 22. 23. 2 {0;4}0. 21. 22. 23. 2 {0;5}0. 21. 22. 23. 2 {0;6}0. 01. 22. 23. 1 {0;7}0. 21. 22. 03. 0 {0;8}0. 21. 22. 23. 2 {0;9}0. 21. 22. 23. 2 {0;10}0. 21. 22. 23. 2 {0;11}0. 21. 22. 23. 2 {0;12}0. 21. 22. 23. 2 {0;13}0. 01. 22. 23. 0 {0;14}0. 21. 22. 23. 2
I want to create a list from these points. That marks each curve that pokes out, in a cull pattern as such:
20022210222202
Using a 1 where there are co-incidents in the curve points and the boundary. A 2 for true (outside points) and a 0 for containment. So I might be able to use the 1 in future developments - however if a true false list is easiest I can live with that.
So could I use F(x) function? - to look for 0 or 1's in each bunch of points and thus list as such for a cull pattern? or will Path mapper help me here? Or can I rely on simply grafting and splitting??
I am usure of the neatest solution and would love to learn. Hope you can direct me.rgrds

10 curve
11 curve
12 curve
13 curve
...and I'd like to rearrange the order in which the curve are listed, to something like this:
{0,0,0}
0 curve
1 curve
8 curve
9 curve
10 curve
11 curve
2 curve
3 curve
4 curve
5 curve
12 curve
13 curve
6 curve
7 curve
I hope this makes sense.
Thank in advance for any advice,

give you 8 paths (0 through 7), with N=4 and organizes the points in "rows" in the x-direction.
Tip (apologies if you know this already): you can right-click on a component's input or output to flatten, graft, or simplify it. It saves space on your canvas and at least to my mind, makes definitions easier to understand.…
cture, Rhino treats them as a single flat list. For example a surface can have 10 rows and 6 columns of control-points, resulting in a list of 60 points.
But 10 times 6 isn't the only way to get to 60. If you want to make a surface out of a list of 60 points, you'll also have to tell Rhino how those 60 points should be interpreted in terms of a grid. It could be 2*30, 3*20, 4*15, 5*12, 6*10, and all of the aforementioned products the other way around.
Sometimes there's only one way for a number of points to fit into a rectangular grid. For example if you provide 49 points, then 7*7 is the only way to make it work, but these cases are rare so we always demand you give us all the information required to actually make a rectangular grid of control-points from a linear collection.
As for "Why is it, sometimes we need to attach additional value into it?", this is usually because when you divide a domain or a curve into N segments, you end up with N+1 points. For example take the domain {0 to 5}, and divide it into 5 equal subdomains. You end up with {0 to 1}, {1 to 2}, {2 to 3}, {3 to 4} and {4 to 5}. However there are six numbers that mark the transitions between these domains 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. This is why you often have to add 1 to the UCount, because the number that controls the UCount often results in N+1 actual points.…

to install parallels and Windows 7 (I've read to get Windows 7 for now not 8) and use my Rhino 4 (got this a while ago and haven't used it yet due to I'm on a mac). The macbook has 16gb RAM so I could allocate 8 to Windows side and load Rhino 4 or upgrade to Rhino 5 but want to be sure Grasshopper will run or I'll do the Bootcamp thing and sacrifice the restart every time I use Rhino/Grasshopper. I'm just starting this Grasshopper road so zero experience. First thing is get the system right (for me who uses mac.s). I've heard Rhino 4 and 5 will run okay on parallels with Windows 7.
Thanks…
