g from a list of 12 items I would find all the combinations taking just 4 at time.
I'd use a Stream gate that takes the indexes of the items and pass them to a list item in order to select just the items of the combination. Doing so I can choose a single combination of index at time to pass to the list item.
In this moment all the data come out from the first gate, all the others are empty.
If I pass these index to the list item it gives me an error (probably because of the data structure).

I start from a list of 12 segments, all of them with the starting point in common and the ending point distributed regularly in the space. It's a quite simple starting point.
What I'm trying to achieve is to find all the possible spatial configurations made of 2, 3, 4 segments. I started with 2 segments so I've 12^2=144 possible configurations but just 4 different configurations that can intuitivelly be recognized (60°, 90°, 120°, 180°).
Doing the same with 3 segments generates 12^3=1728 configurations and I don't know how many different ones. With 4 segments I've got 12^4=20736 possible configurations.
As you can imagine many configurations are identical but just with a different orientation so at the end I'll have to parse geometrically the output to delete duplicates (I'll address this later on).
Please could you help me to figure out how to mix these segments in different configurations?

ith a number slider. When the pont new location is OK for me (changing the slider) I update my excel file, changing only one point at a time. My problem is that when I change on point in excel, the whole update process meaning, when I see the change of one point in he geometry in Rhino window takes more than one minute.
During this time Rhino and grasshopper are freezing. Since usually I have edit several point in a geometry, which means it can take me hours to finish the job, which is absolutely unbearable.
My first question that this more than minute update time with such amount of data is supposed to be normal, or I do something wrong?
Is there a way to speed a job, maybe there is a workaround for this problem?

Hope that helps. I was thinking of changing this input slightly for the next Kangaroo release, because I realize it can be a pain if you want bending stiffness of a curve to be independent of the number of points used, but I'll make sure to clarify any changes when I do update this.

a curve in Rhino and fully create the extruded wall that I want. The problem I'm having is that I want to apply this process on each of the 145 curves I have, but if I simply add all these references to my "crv" object in grasshopper, each curve interacts with all other curves.
For example, at one point I move the curve up (in the z direction) to create the height I want and then loft those two lines together. It works fine if I only reference a single one of my curves, but when I reference multiple it creates one loft through all of the lines I created, as opposed to 3 lofts, each through the original curve and the moved/copied curve.
Is there any way I can have my process work on each curve individually and iteratively without having to copy my logic 144 times? Thanks!…
