cross a doubly curved surface. The beams are also cambered to make them more stable, so they weave under and over the surface, which is why the pattern can be hard to see in the photo. Our process was as follows:
Essentially the stages are:
1. Project a pattern onto a doubly curved surface.
2. Smooth the pattern over the surface with dynamic relaxation (we used this: http://parametricmodel.com/DynamicRelaxation-fixednumberoftimes/12.html)
3. Rotate each line of the pattern so it becomes reciprocal. This is probably the hardest step as you want everything to be straight and you want all the lines to terminate cleanly.
4. Turn that pattern into beams & construction drawings.

o a random name the component just uses 3 of the 5 total beams (img 1), and I don't know why.
I tried to change some parameters and I found that if I name the beams with the id 1 everything works (img 2). Am I missing something or is it just a bug?

standard preview color for selection is green).
3. Right-click component which contains data you don't want to see and select "Preview" option.
4. Now you should see only transformed geometry.…
Hello,
I have a basic question about Grasshopper. How do you divide a list of data into different branches? I would like to divide the list of 7 items into groups of 2 items.
For example, prepare 2 points at first and draw a line from point_0 to point_1
then I want to get 0 and 1 number which compose line from "line" component but how ?!?!?!
Somebody plz help me!!!
Somehow I`ve made them fly and pull to surfaces. Each time I achieve different result. I have an idea to divide on two groups and than one group of points pull to one mesh, other group to another mesh. But I don`t have criterions to find what result is better. Can somebody explain what am I doing wrong?

intersection-elements (01/AA etc)
To get a result from RInt i do have to flatten the first set and do have to graft the second. Therefore i can only retrieve the parent-information from the second set.
I hope i could explain my problem and somebody has an easy solution on hand...
Best regards,
Heiko
