des]. I have 5-variables with 4 options each (a total of 4x4x4x4x4 = 1024 variations):
Height: 6,7,8 & 9 ft
Depth inside: 1, 2, 3 & 4 ft
Depth outside: 1, 2, 3 & 4 ft
Rotation outside: 0, 15, 30 & 45 degree
Rotation inside: 0, 15, 30 & 45 degree
I do not see convergence yet (see attached). The last combination of variables say 9-ft high, 4-ft deep (inside & outside) and 0-deg rotation (horizontal) inside and outside. Is this the optimized value of the light shelf parameters for the best illumination level at the sensor plane for that specific place, time and date?

he sunPath component works. For example if you want to simulate the hours from 8 to 16 it means you want 8 hours from 8 to 9, from 9 to 10,.... from 15 to 16 (8 hours duration period) so you get from the sunPath component (using default timeStep 1) the 9 sun position/vectors 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 (in the image the yellow suns). The things is that if you ask for a smaller timeStep for example 3 = 20 mins then the additional sun position (in the image the orange suns) are added also after the time limit of h16 so probably when you don't want/need. I understand that when you input a time period there is the ambiguity if the hours are the just 9 (the 9 inputs) or the 8 hours included between pairs of hours, but I would make in a way that it is possible to chose if the extra timeStep after the last hour are added or not. I want to move everything in {2} up 5 and 10 and 15,
Any ideas. I have been trying using the series component to create the right data structure but somehow its not working and i am sure there is a simple way?
Do i have to repeat the data so that the number of transform data matches the input list or is there a way to simply apply the transformation to everything in {0}{1} and {2} respectively depending on its structure ??
Hopefully this makes sense? I am not really sure but is it a job for stream - i cant understand why i cant get it to work. Sorry i am sure this is covered in the forums, i have been looking but cant anything which helps specifically.

We have a grid which consists of a collection of columns, where each column consists of a list of points. You said flattening is out of the question, so we need to cull items from each list individually.
Let's say our culling pattern is KDDDKDD (repeat as needed). K = Keep, D = Ditch. If a column contains 18 points, the pattern needs to be repeated until it is 18 items long. In this case:

We can now cull each column, but they will all be culled in the same way. By shifting the pattern one more index for each column, we can cycle the culling.
The fix incidentally is to Shift the pattern PRIOR to repeating it. Then it works as expected:
