very surface i.e. 33, which you are trying to match up with 3 surfaces in a single list. Which is the second issue you would need to graft the single list of surfaces before inputing them to both the P and C inputs. That way you are making GH Match the first surface with the first set of points and so on. and not every surface with each set of points.
To sort out the Data structure coming from the grid use a pathmapper with {A;B;C;D}(i) --> {A;B}…

the Options. For example, if we look at the default settings in this order:
Population: Number of iterations / generation 50 - Galapagos tries 50 slider positions each generation. When it finishes 50, it looks at the results and takes from the best results based on your fitness.
Initial Boost: Factor for the first generation 2. You want to ensure Galapagos sees as much of the solution space as possible in order to not miss any potential solutions. The first generation is multiplied by this factor. If Population is 50, the first generation will be 50x2 = 100 slider positions.
Maintain and Inbreeding deal with what you keep between Generations.
Max Stagnant: Number of generations to try AFTER finding a better solution 50. If Galapagos finds a great solution in Generation 2 (Gen 0 = 100 tries, Gen 1 = 50 tries, Gen 2 = 50 tries) it will go another 50 Generations (50x50 tries) before it stops to ensure it did not miss anything.
Your solution space consists of 11 options, which is much less than any of the other parameters are suggesting. Galapagos flails wildly in your case because you told it to. You told it to try 50x50(+50 for initial boost) number of times to find the best value.
Hence why I do not think this is the best option. You said it, this is not an optimization problem. If it is not an optimization problem, why use a genetic algorithm solver which is predominantly used for optimizing parameters?
I wouldn't necessarily want to see the definition, I'm more curious about the data. For example, can you send the data for 10 structural members and some load cases? (again, I could be entirely oversimplifying it).
In any case, I changed Max. Stagnant to 5, Population to 11. So Galapagos will stop (5x11)+11 tries AFTER the best solution is found. It found the solution pretty quickly.…

is also worth mentioning that, if you haven't used them yet, we have a few components that can help you manage and format your geometry in the way that E+ likes (including components to split building masses into core/perimeter zones and a component to ensure that there are reciprocal matching surfaces of adjacent zones). These 3 videos in the Honeybee Energy Modeling tutorial series should help you use them in your workflow:

arget group The workshop is addressed to students of architecture and civil engineering faculties at master level from Estonia (11 seats), Latvia (3 seats), Lithuania (3 seats) and Sweden (3 seats). The selected students will have full scholarship that will include travel, board and lodging in Tallinn for 10 days (arrival on Sunday 03.07.2016 departure on Wednesday 13.07.2016). The workshop is funded by the NORDPLUS programme of the Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM) - Higher Education objective.
Description The use of digital and computational design tools is increasingly important for the activity of design and research for architects and engineers. It permits to integrate environmental and energy aspects from the very early stages of the design and planning process to achieve more performative, efficient and integrated buildings and urban environments. The workshop attendants will broaden their design and technical knowledge with solar design, daylighting and energy efficiency topics and will learn how to integrate environmental analysis and building performance analysis tools with parametric and generative methodologies in architecture and planning.
Location
Tallinn University of Technology – Departments of Structural Design and Environmental Engineering
Dates
From 04 to 12 July 2016

elated with the Topology outputs:
So let's try to do (via components) the face reconstruction stage (the missing 4 as above):
Alias crenelatedEdgesTree as polylineTree.
Imagine a Lst that samples all the edges per Face ("changed" and "unchanged") as Curves.
1. Let's take face 3: this is surrounded by edges 10,11,12,13 and 37.
2. Has edge 10 "changed" (to polyline) ? No because in the polylineTree there's no branch {10} ... thus sample edge 10 from the EList (Note: apparently that's a boundary edge). Has edge 11 "changed" ? No ... blah, blah.
3. Has edge 12 "changed" ? Yes because in the polylineTree there's a branch {12} ... thus sample the item from that branch. Same for 13 ... etc etc.
4. Thus we have sampled all the surrounding edges as Curves and the next step is to join them > yielding a closed Curve.
5. Then we must "planarize" that Curve (by projecting it into the corresponding Brep Face plane) ... and the rest are history.
So ... try it and report any issue encountered.…
TB of RAM. I think I'm going to start a GoFundMe campaign to buy one for myself :)
2- The server's cost is about $13 an hour. I get free access to supercomputer through my university and xsede.org because I earned an NSF Honorable mention last March, however, the supercomputers available through both resources are a little complicated for me to use, as opposed to the one available from amazon that has Microsoft server 2012 already installed.
3- I wanted to run 400 annual glare simulations for 400 different views.
4- I tried a to perform annual glare simulation for one view on my Dell XPS that has Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor and 16GB of system memory. The simulation took 2 hours to complete. Radiance parameter ab was set to 6.
5- I wanted to obtain the batch file for each view so I can run them on the server. So I used the fly component to run all 400 simulations and closed the cmd windows, that wasn't bad ( for me at least) because I asked my son to this job for me, he was just glad to help me :)
6- I created one batch file using this cmd command:
dir /s /b *.bat > runall.bat
This created a file with the path to each .bat file. I edited this file in Notepad++ to include the word "start" at the beginning of each line. This was done using the "find and replace" dialogue box.
7- I split my newly created batch file into 3 batch files, each one has about 130 file names and " start" before the file names.
8- installed radiance on my server
9- Ran the first batch file on the server, this started 130 cmd windows performing my simulations, CPU usage was anywhere between 90% to 100% and about 105 GB of RAMs were used.
10. It took about 5 hours to complete all 130 simulations, I expected to run all in 2 hours but can't complain because this would've taken about 260 hours to run on my laptop. After the simulations done I ran the second and then the third batch files ( total of about 15 hours).
11. I got 400 valid dgb files. Couldn't be happier!

view. So in the GH Definition i have only to estimate a center for always 4 holes. So i get 3 centers and they can be targets for the 3 details.
Sounds difficult but is not...look at the definition attached:
You have to find out what is best for your situation, this is just an example since i don't know what you're really doing.
As an extra tutorial i also added how to convert the text dots to 3d text, which you obtained from the counting. Could be useful for e.g. numbering the holes.
GH and 3dm files as well as screenshots are the attached zip file.
Cheers,
FF…
