g "ipy" form the CMD line.
Now what is Numpy good for I wonder? I hear it does big arrays quickly. And do I also have Scipy? Is that a bonafide package? Alas, "import scipy" gives an error:
C:\Users\Nik>ipy

...and again the rabbit hole is even deeper now. The directory and contents checks out fine except there is no "_import_to" like there is "__init__.py".
So where is Scipy? How do I activate/install it for real?
The above mentioned test gives no error, however:
ipy -X:Frames -c "import scipy"
...yet the same import from within IronPython does give an error.

pped inward (it'd have showed up in a render sooner or later). geodesic.ghx
The "trick" of the lines is all buried in the vb code inside the "VB (DotNET VB Script)" component I renamed "vbGeodesic". Basically the visual basic code cycles through the 15 points resulting from the divide operation, picking them up 3 at a time in the right sequence to define the 16 facets that result from the divide (ie the component takes in a 15 point list and spits out a 16*3=48 point list). Hopefully the picture below helps. Once you figure out how to select the points in correct sequence, it's pretty straight-forward to do the cull and draw lines.
A related example is on pg 106 of the Grasshopper Primer. An even better example of what I think you're after is on page 32 of the "Algorithmic Modeling" document on the tutorial page.
Cheers…

be done easier, but later on the geometry will change and therefore this seems the better option. But coming back to the problem
First, there were some problems concerning the zone, although it seems solved still the “runenergysimulation” gives the following warning:
1. The simulation has not run correctly because of this severe error:
** Severe ** UpdateZoneSizing: Cooling supply air temperature (calculated) within 2C of zone temperature
Do one of you know what went wrong? It probably will solve most of it.
Second, “set Zone Thresholds” gives the following warning:
1. Solution exception:global name 'maxHumidity_' is not defined
However, the component is missing the max humidity input on the list, has this to do something with the error?
All the components are up to date.
I hope it will be an easy fix.

e the polylines and i am not able to understand how do i link this (closest point) data while extruding.. I was able to extrude it according to the distances from A, B, C to plot centre points, but i want to extrude the points closer to A by say 5 metres, closer to B by 10 and closer to C by 15..Can any one help me out with this..Thank you

So, I tracked back to the grips.py script, in which, the .gripson method could not work.
Btw, this code runs ok in Rhino python script editor.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks…

ay that applies a "general" type of orientation "algorithm" regardless of the parcel in question) leads us to Soviet type of urban planning: get people > make them numbers > put them in blocks > job done.
3. What to do: After aligning the rectangles with some "start"/guide/seed mode (like the "cyclic" one [my favorite] available in V2A) allow individual control on "rectangles" on a per parcel and rectangle basis - elementary my dear Watson.
How this is achievable? Easily via the Dark Side - what else?
Is it realistic? Yes since we are talking about 200-300 parcels (and not several millions): estimate about 15 seconds for "manually" vary the rectangle (dimensions, Z [topographic constrains], respect min dist regulations etc etc) in relation with the other 3 (or pick another one from a pool of "standard" rectangles or on the fly make a new variant and store it in the pool).

example file with my DWG file that I've exported from Revit into Rhino, but I'm having a few issues with the geometry.
A few problems that I'm having with this:
1. I can reference the surfaces to breps by selecting objects (walls, roofs, windows, etc.) that are associated with the imported layers no problem, but cannot create zones from breps
2. Getting this error, "Data conversion failed from brep to surface" when flipping the floor.
3. Window geometry is different in Revit than how they are recognized in HB, what is the best way to make the windows workable in HB?
Any suggestions to help me get started with simulation for this building would be greatly appreciated! Links to my dwg file, gh file, and rhino file I'm working with are down below.
Thanks in advance!
