In response to the concurrent digital evolution emerging in the architectural industry world-wide, the Faculty of Architecture at The University of Hong Kong will host a two week intensive summer program named Digital Practice.Led by professors from The University of Hong Kong, as well as invited practitioners with expertise in practice of cutting edge digital techniques, the program offers participants opportunities to experience applications of computational tools during different stages of an architectural project, i.e. concept design, form finding and optimization, delivery, management and communication of design information under the team-based working environment. By learning advanced computational techniques through case studies in the context of Hong Kong, participants are expected to go beyond the conventional perception of technology, considering users and tools as a feedback-based entity instead of a dichotomy. to have the same amount of boxes, but I want to control the size of them.
I have my number slider set up for the x/y of the box sizes but (as I figured) it controls the whole lot of however many boxes I have moved/duplicated on the screen.
I was hoping to use a range of numbers (1.7, 1.5, 1.3, 1.1) for the x/y sizes but cant seem to get GH to apply that range to the individual groups. Does this make any sense?
My apologies for asking so many questions, I'm just finding this to be the best way of learning. I happen to be having a lot of fun too!

to do it and how to start with it.
I can make components, but this components are "boxes" without no video parameter. For example, I can make a box that recieve integers and return strings, but I can't do a box that show the image that I see on the kinect, because there is no "video source" on de Grasshopper.
Can anyone tell me how to do it o how to start with that?

思った感じになりません。
balls の代わりにplanarカーブを直接入れてみましたがエラーが出ます。
ファンクションにしてみたところ、forループので作った数値が反映されていません。
ファンクションのインスタンス?を出力していないと思い上記のようにしましたがエラーが出てしまいます。
以上の事から自分の認識が正しいのかよくわからなくなりました・・・
python自体の深いところをわかっているわけではないので余計こんがらがりました。
そこで、for b in ballsはどのような条件または使い方であれば使えるのでしょうか?

the 'point count' (because the points are closer together), a high number reduces the point count.
Set to 15 generates 4020 points and takes 11.2 seconds on my machine.
Set to 10 generates 9045 points and takes 24.7 seconds.
Set to 5 generates 36582 points and takes 1.7 minutes.
Set to 2 generates 228362 points and takes 10.5 minutes. (not recommended)
It adapts to changes in the horizontal and vertical angles (width and height) of the "flashlight" beam, changing the point count appropriately.

Classify items (say points from a grid, or circles, or rectangles to be extruded) by any parameter of your choice (say distance from attractor, or radius, or height of extrusion) allows you to set any property by class: radius, colour, or whatever, even height of extrusion.
An illustrative example:
1 Heights in [1, 17]
2 Subintervals: {[1, 2], [2, 2.03], [2.03, 4], [4, 9.1], [9.1, 16.99], [16.99, 17]}
3 New values: { 0.3, 2.9, 5.5, 13.2, 15.0025, 17 }
4 Examples: 9.23 becomes 15.0025 and 1.7 becomes 0.3
Every height belonging to first subinterval —[1, 2]— becomes 0.3, every height in [2, 2.03] becomes 2.9, and so forth. Actually, every rectangle with its —old— height of extrusion belonging to a specific subinterval gets corresponding value according to 3 for its —new— height of extrusion.
In order to perform a true partition —classes— covering 1, boundaries should be a monotonically increasing succession, and subintervals should be half-open as far as boundaries (2, 2.03, 4, 9.1 and 16.99) can’t belong to more than one subinterval/class —classes are defined to be mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive—, but this isn’t technically necessary; overlapping subintervals are allowed by creating duplicates: same rectangle is extruded twice (or more times) but different heights, also according 3, are used for each extrusion.
Notice that 3 could be even more exotic:
{0.01, 0.1, 0.02, -0.3, -0.05, -0.8}
{-5, 0, 3, 0, -1, 0}
{-11/2, -9/2, π, 5/2, -3/2, -1/2}
