n cells and square cells.3. the tringle cells to be as holles in between the extrude shapes. (in the tringle cells I don't want to contain a 3d shape).4. The extrude of Hexagon and square should be gradual: from 2d shape on the grid, to 3d shape (by extruding and atrractors point)5. than to manipulate the grid by gradual enlarging and reducing it, etc. Therfore, as start I would like to create the grid when each shape cells will be sorted in separate array. Than to flow the grid along a 3d surface.
(all above I need to create in grasshopper).

ves not fat beams.
(3) Extract the triangular "unit cell" from one of the faces.
(4) Simply move/scale them into place onto each 3D mesh face using box morph or equivalent transformation.
(5) Flesh out the truss lines with various plug-ins, especially Cocoon marching cubes.
Now looking at Intralattice, I see nearly the exact same workflow!:
"1. We first begin with a cell component, which will generate a unit cell. This unit cell is the basis for the lattice topology.
2. The next stage involves a frame component, which will populate a design space with the unit cell, based on various parameters.
3. The final stage involves a mesh component, which will convert the lattice wireframe (a list of curves) to a solid mesh, which can be 3D printed."
Distinction: my definition is for thick surfaces that enclose empty space. Intralattice is more fully filling 3D based on a 3D unit cell. Mine is for what may be called a 2 1/2D or 2.5D cell since its completely reliant on the pseudo 2D form of a mesh surface despite it's 3d curvature.…
e other spheres. So What I have done is:
1. creating a random set of points
2. use the 3D proximity to find the closest points
3. some how measure the distance of these vectors created from step 2
4. assign the values as radius for each sphere
I am stuck at step 3 now because I am confused about how exactly to use the outputs from the 3D proximity. Anyone knows how to use it please help!
By the way, I am working on this problem as the first approach to a flock or swarm behavior. Does anyone know if there had already been a solution to this? And where I could get it?
I really appreciate anyone that helps!…
orientated to a certain angle to produce 3 different images from 3 views. I was told to look at bowerbird, but i am having some issues with generating the slots, i have a reference sphere for each node and the cutting planes (or so i think). The original geometry was generated in cinema 4d, and i was told grasshopper would be good in terms of fabricating.
If anyone can help i'd appreciate it

o grasshopper, can i ask the 'the grasshopper' to pick the points automatically? (pick 3 points from the intersections/X-directions/...)
i also need to make a 2D from the same face in grasshopper, how can i do it?
i know this simple command (make2D) of rhino. in which i select the object, set Cplane out of 3points, set the view to front view and make 2D from corrent view. the whole idea is to do all this chain in grasshopper (since i have to do the same thing for 100s of drawings!)
thanks…
mapped on a freeform surface…But I want the triangles to continue being normal(I mean with 3 equal edges) and each triangle should continue being in one plane(I mean that the edges should not be curved in order to fit exactly the freeform surface)...In a nutshell, I want the unit of a normal triangle(3 equal edges) to be multiplied in 3d space in order to approximately fit/"create" the wanted freeform surface...I would appreciate any help!;-) thanks in advance!…
? If so, how? (See Image 1)
2) On a custom component is is possible to make edits to the right click menu to add custom feature? (See Image 2)
3) I want to create a component that displays a series of text on the screen similar to the TEXT TAG (3D) component. I've tried using the TextEntity class and the TextDot class but no success. (See Image 3)
Thanks in advance for any advice.

view. So in the GH Definition i have only to estimate a center for always 4 holes. So i get 3 centers and they can be targets for the 3 details.
Sounds difficult but is not...look at the definition attached:
You have to find out what is best for your situation, this is just an example since i don't know what you're really doing.
As an extra tutorial i also added how to convert the text dots to 3d text, which you obtained from the counting. Could be useful for e.g. numbering the holes.
GH and 3dm files as well as screenshots are the attached zip file.
Cheers,
FF…
