you can open the studyFolder (it's one of the outputs of run daylight analysis component.) and check *.bat files. There is a rpict or rtrace line that you can see all the parameters listed. Mine is:
rpict -i -t 10 -vtv -vp 43.111 -74.673 49.782 -vd -0.433 0.750 -0.500 -vu 0.000 0.000 1.000 -vh 54.328 -vv 26.991 -vs 0.000 -vl 0.000 -x 64 -y 64 -af unnamed_IMG.amb -ps 8 -pt 0.15 -pj 0.6 -dj 0 -ds 0.5 -dt 0.5 -dc 0.25 -dr 0 -dp 64 -st 0.85 -ab 2 -ad 20 -as 128 -ar 16 -aa 0.001 -lr 4 -lw 0.050 -av 0 0 0 unnamed_IMG.oct > unnamed_IMG.unf
aa and ad values are changed in this example.

uld like to split this solid with different geometries to create gaps into the tower, without seeing an empty tower or only a thin skin.
Is there a way to do this? I have put the grasshopper file in the attachment.
The image below shows what form I finally will achieve, three segments of a tower who can rotate apart from eachother. Whit on one side a straight sloping surface, and the rest af the surface is curved.
Is there another way to achieve the same but then in an easier way?

ted by tool conversion, but it seems to be strange because when i put the same file into ECOtect Weather Tool i can run weather data graphs, like this one:
I hope you can help me. Thank you in advance.
(i attached my epw file, by Notepad++ i noticed too many "question marks")

rom this webpage (the first top download on that page):
https://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/dwn-pluto-ma...
The issue is that downloaded 'pluto_20v2.csv' file is enormous - 290MB.
I tried to delete about 95% of it, and approximately use only the first 5%.
I hope the definition provides some insight. If not, let us know.I couldn't upload the files for some reason. They are here:https://www.dropbox.com/s/grxuta8v8x18u70/mapData.gh?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/5igqsdnryz9df2q/pluto_20v2%20first%205perc.zip?dl=0…

s feature generally prevents us from doing but in this case I'm 95% sure the loop won't brake GH as the Data Rec should actively try to prevent this from happening.
So I'd like to ask you if there's any way to bypass the cyclical data stream detection? I believe what I'm looking for is a way to send a value from an output to another input without having a "wired" connection between those two components. Any ideas on how to achieve this? Scripting?
Thanks.
PS: Unfortunately I wasn't able to simplify my current definition to a point where it could be used as an example, so please treat this more as an generic question.

2) The Curvature "flips"
The curvature graph component creates exactly what I need, but unfortunately it only visualizes the new curve (lets call this c1), without actually making it usable. If it were usable, I could just test for curve-curve intersections, and discontinuities in (c1). I have more or less replicated the behavior of the curvature graph component, except that my imitation is too smooth (lets call my imitation curve c2). I attached two images to demonstrate what I mean.
Is there a way to get exactly what the Curvature graph makes? How is it creating c1? Is it just a much larger sampling of points? Or does it somehow operate (calculus?) on the underlying formula of the curve (c0)?
Any guidance is hugely appreciated. …

sier to print them on an A3 sheet for example. Very practical, i know, not very exciting, but I'm pretty excited about using Grasshopper to make these types of tasks super efficient.
This was working well with the previous version of grasshopper. I've updated to the new one today and have a problem i can't seem to fix.
I have 10 Floor Plates produced from the Section. I have 16 points on the grid. I wish to use Orient to place to first floor at the first point, the second floor at the second point etc. I assume I have to use 'shortest list' , because i don't want the top floor repeated to fill the points available on the grid. When i use shortest list i only get all the floor plates at the first point.
When i use 'longest list' at orient, the floor plate aligned to the grid point does shift but all the floors are carried with it, and of course all 16 points fill.
If you have any suggestions or time to have a quick look at the attached files it would be great.
As i said this was working perfectly with the last version....perhaps I'm missing something really obvious?
Thanks, Mark.…
o spend some time thinking about it. Also, I would like to see graphic precedents of how you think you will show your project. Please create a pdf.
Desk Crits:
We will be working on your projects in class this week. You will be required to work in class until at least 9 PM and you must meet with me before you go to get credit for the class. If it reaches 9 and I have not seen you - you can either stay (if you want a desk crit) or go if you do not need to see me. List is reverse from last week:
