erencing it back into our main .gh file works normally (with full functionality) as long as all the files are on my local hard drive (e.g. "C:"). But as soon as I try to reference a .ghcluster or even open one saved on an external drive (our company's network drive) Rhino and Grasshopper instantly freeze und crash. Every time. No matter the file size.
We have already checked, if maybe whitespaces or dots in the file's path could have caused the crashes. But even eliminating them by renaming the folders doesn't fix the problem.
So obviously GH's clusters does not support referencing files from external network locations. Does anyone have an idea why? Were stuck here, because we want to severely increase the complexity of our project's main gh. file and enable more team members to contribute to the main file via external referenced cluster files.
Thanks for your help.

s, each made from two Nurbs curves, each with different surface properties.
Curves A1 and A2 have 2 control points:
startpoint and endpoint
Curves B1 and B2 on the other hand were drawn with 6 control points each.
What's more, those point's aren't equally distanced from one another.
The lofts inherit the position of control points of the profile curves.
The distribution of control points in the loft direction is uniform.
So no suprise here:
You can think of Nurbs curves as rubber bands and of Nurbs surfaces as rubber sheets. The areas with less control points would correspond to streched rubber.
Now lets imagine you take an A4 piece of rubber, lay in on a table and draw equally distanced lines on it. When you strech it ununiformally - the distances won't stay equal anymore.
Returning to your first post:
The Divide Surface component operates on u,v values which you can imagine as dimensions of the rubber sheet in relaxed state.
So the result you got was indeed an equaly divided surface, only in the so called "parameter space" of the surface, which doesn't always correspond to the xyz space.
There are methods to divide curves and surfaces in equal distances in the way you want it. For starters check out the Evaluate Lenght component.
I think that's enough teory for today. Have fun!

perienced with grasshopper, but so far I've managed to combine the following:
Giulio Piacentino's "Catenary arch from height" script
Pirouz Nourian's "Mobius" script (Obtained from a friend)
End Result:
Here's where I'm stuck: I want the mobius twist to revolve around the midpoint of the arch, but the script uses the input values to determine the endpoints, resulting in a weird sinuous shape when viewed from above. Also, the secondary end points (generated by the mobius script, determining the width of the surface) are generated by default along the z axis, resulting in an arch that only touches the "ground" at two points. I attempted to work around this issue by trying to force the zHeight parameter to correspond with the y axis (thus rotating the arch 90 degrees so it would lay "flat"), but the script interprets the third point as a value and not as an actual point to bisect. I thought this might be an issue with the C# component that I obtained from Giulio Piacentino's script, so I attempted to tinker around with the source code. Unfortunately, I'm not fluent in C# so I only managed to mess everything up (I've since recovered the code from the cache). Anybody got some ideas? -BC …
le discontinuous list of index numbers and I'd like to be able to generate a set of domains where each span of numbers would have its own domain. For example:
This list: 5,6,7,8,9,22,23,24,25,26,77,78,79,80,81...
Would give these domains: 5 to 9, 22 to 26, 77 to 81...
I'm at a loss as to how I can achieve this though. I know I can use the bounds function on the list but that would give a single domain, not several. In case it helps the list in question was generated by a true/false cull pattern from the complete list of indices so simply determining the indices of the beginning and end of each chunk of 'trues' in the cull pattern would work as well as it would give the same domains. I can post an example file if anyone would like but I figure this is a pretty general issue.
So anybody have any ideas on how to solve this multiple domains from a single list problem? Thanks in advance for any help at all, I'd really appreciate it!
